Lisa Allen
I am a qualified and HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist (MA) based in Manchester, working with adults, children, and young people of all ages. I have specialist interests in therapeutic parenting, attachment, and trauma, and I am also trained to Level 2 in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).
Prior to training as an Art Psychotherapist, I worked for many years as a Specialist Nurse. This background informs my practice, bringing a depth of clinical knowledge, compassion, and understanding to my therapeutic work.
I am passionate about supporting individuals from all backgrounds and identities, and I believe that art therapy is an accessible and inclusive form of support for everyone.
Art therapy offers a unique way to express thoughts and emotions that can be difficult to put into words. It can be a powerful and cathartic process, enabling individuals to explore and process their experiences, work through challenges, and feel more empowered in shaping their future. This transformative potential is at the heart of why I value this work so deeply.
